Therapeutic Potential and Predictive Pharmaceutical Modeling of Stilbenes


University of Alberta researchers, backed by Canurta, have gained new insights into the activity, pharmacokinetics, metabolism & permeability of cannabis stilbenes, a category of polyphenolic compounds.

The analysis uncovers therapeutic benefits including anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anti-cancer, and antioxidant effects. Many of the identified stilbenes have been researched to a limited extent for potential health benefits.

New Mechanisms of Action: Completed RNA sequencing to explore differential gene expression in lung tissues dosed with cannflavins. This will reveal unknown potential mechanisms of action of cannflavins and guide further exploration.


Manufacturing


First Commercial Batch of Polyphenol Extract: Canurta's US Manufacturing Partner FSoil is preparing to test and bottle our polyphenol extract for launch. We will be in-market very soon, launch date to be announced shortly.


Bioinformatics


Molecular Generation Project Update: Successfully completed our project report for our funding partner, the National Research Council of Canada's Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP).


The molecular generation project focused on using advanced computational techniques to generate and analyze luteolin-derived flavonoids with optimized bioavailability and target affinity.
