SOVEREIGN 2026 Brought Builders, Researchers, and Capital Leaders Together
SOVEREIGN 2026 has concluded following a full gathering in Toronto during Toronto Tech Week. Hosted in collaboration with Canurta Therapeutics, International Business University, and TrainingGround.AI, the event explored the intersection of human performance, decentralized finance, and artificial intelligence.
The theme of sovereignty — biological, financial, and digital — created a useful frame for conversations about resilience, ownership, innovation, and long-term competitiveness. For Canurta, the event also reinforced a broader strategic priority: building relationships across science, capital, technology, and talent communities that can support the next generation of adaptive medicine.
New Paper Published in Journal of Natural Products
A newly released preprint from Canurta’s bioinformatics team, with collaborators from Washington State University and the Akhtar Lab at the University of Guelph, examined the transcriptomic effects of CNR-401 and Cannflavin A in a Drosophila model of ALS.
The study explored how these compounds may influence biological pathways associated with neurodegeneration, including neuronal signaling, inflammation, protein stress, and mitochondrial energy systems.
