Canurta Announces Establishment of its Operations in Grimsby, Ontario
On January 16, 2023, we received our building permit and are currently establishing our operations in a setting that guarantees growth and quality products in rural Grimsby, ON. By the end of Q2-2023, we expect to have our agri-building– built following National Farm Building Code and according to GMP specifications– raised on an identified property fitted with all infrastructures and, within months, with optimal equipment necessary to carry out production activities. This will allow us to streamline production and ensure that standards are met throughout the manufacturing, development, and delivery processes. We expect to become the leader in the field and be able to translate technology to other places, contributing to local development.

On January 30, 2023, we officially received our registration certificate for our trademark, Canurta®. This certificate signifies that our trademark has been successfully registered and protected under the law, giving us exclusive rights. The certificate represents our commitment to providing quality products and ensures our brand is protected and recognized globally. We are thrilled to have taken this important step in protecting our intellectual property, securing our brand's identity, and ensuring its long-term success.

Canurta Participates in the National Conference for Black Excellence in STEM & Medicine (BE-STEMM 2023)
On February 1, 2023, our CEO, Akeem Gardner, spoke at the annual National Conference for Black Excellence in STEM & Medicine (BE-STEMM 2023) on the topic of "Targeting Glioblastoma Invasion and Survival with Cannabis-derived Flavonoids."
Glioblastoma is an aggressive type of brain cancer that is difficult to treat and has a low survival rate. However, our research has shown that cannabis-derived flavonoids can potentially treat glioblastoma. These compounds are found in the cannabis plant and have been shown to have anti-cancer properties.
At the conference, Akeem discussed our latest research on cannabis-derived flavonoids and their potential as a treatment for glioblastoma. He also discussed the challenges and opportunities in developing cannabis-based therapies for cancer, which was well-received by stakeholders.
