First Tranche of PharmaDrug Transaction Completed
Canurta has completed the first tranche of its previously announced transaction with PharmaDrug Inc. (CSE: PHRX), solidifying a strategic path toward public market access. Under this agreement, PharmaDrug has acquired an initial equity interest of 19.9% in Canurta, with the potential to increase to 40% pending future milestones and regulatory approvals.

Canurta Naturals Expands US Manufacturing Platform and Business Development Team
Canurta Naturals USA, Canurta Inc.'s nutraceutical innovation subsidiary, announced that it will oversee operations at the Woodburn, Oregon extraction facility. The site features advanced CO₂ extraction systems (supercritical and subcritical), supported by certifications including USDA Organic, and Kosher.
This integration brings key infrastructure and experienced personnel under Canurta Naturals, expanding our ability to manufacture high-quality botanical ingredients. The transition maintains continuity for existing customers while enabling new offerings in formulation, R&D, and commercial supply. The platform will also serve as a manufacturing base for Canurta’s expanding line of science-first nutraceuticals.
Cannflavin B Evaluated as Treatment for Autism-Linked Symptoms
A newly published study in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy examined the effects of Cannflavin B in a well-established adolescent rat model induced by prenatal valproic acid (VPA) exposure. This model is widely used to investigate core symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorder.
Cannflavin B was shown to normalize anxiety-like behavior and improve social interactions. At the neuronal level, the compound restored electrophysiological coherence and reduced microglial activation, markers tied to neuroinflammatory imbalance. These findings contribute to a growing body of evidence supporting the therapeutic promise of rare polyphenols in neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders.
BioCreate Pitch: Scaling Canurta’s Biosynthesis Platform
Canurta's R&D team recently pitched to the BioCreate program to secure funding that would accelerate the scale-up of its biosynthesis capabilities. The proposed project would transition Canurta’s in-house manufacturing of rare small molecules from lab-scale to pilot-scale production.
This effort is a critical inflection point for Canurta’s strategy: unlocking new molecular diversity, and driving cost efficiency across its drug discovery and development programs.
